The McAllen Education Foundation is proud to support innovative educators in our community through our Innovative Teacher Grants program. This program provides funding for educators to implement creative and engaging teaching strategies that enhance student learning experiences.

About Innovative Teacher Grants

Innovative Teacher Grants offer financial support to educators in the McAllen Independent School District who have innovative ideas for improving their classrooms. These grants can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Developing new curriculum
  • Purchasing educational materials
  • Funding professional development
  • Implementing technology in the classroom

Funded Projects

STEM Labs: Creating hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math laboratories to engage students in problem-solving and critical thinking.

Literacy Initiatives: Implementing innovative reading and writing programs to improve students’ literacy skills.

Cultural Experiences: Organizing field trips, guest speakers, or cultural events to broaden students’ perspectives and understanding of the world.

Technology Integration: Providing teachers with the tools and training to effectively integrate technology into their classrooms.
